Regular buses and taxis are available from Delhi (approx. 290 km, 7–8 hours). By Air: The nearest airport is Pantnagar Airport (approx. 32 km away), with limited flights from Delhi. From the airport, taxis and buses are available to reach Kathgodam.

Kathgodam, meaning "timber depot" in Hindi, was historically a major center for timber transport during the British era.
