These two destinations are situated in the picturesque state of Uttarakhand, which is known for its natural beauty and spiritual significance. The tour usually starts from Haridwar, which is easily accessible by road, rail, and air. It is a holy city located on the banks of the river Ganges and is considered the gateway to the Char Dham Yatra, which includes four important pilgrimage sites in the region.
The first stop of the Do Dham tour package is Kedarnath, which is situated at an altitude of 3584 meters above sea level. This town is known for its ancient Kedarnath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India and is believed to be over 1000 years old. The trek to Kedarnath is challenging and takes around 14 km from Gaurikund, which is the starting point of the trek. However, there are helicopter services available for those who cannot undertake the trek. The second stop of the Do Dham tour package is Badrinath, which is located at an altitude of 3133 meters above sea level. This town is known for its Badrinath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites in India and is believed to be over 1200 years old. The town is situated on the banks of the Alaknanda River and is surrounded by the magnificent Himalayas. The Do Dham tour package from Haridwar usually takes around 5-6 days to complete. En route, stop at Devprayag to witness the confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, which form the river Ganges.

- After an early breakfast, proceed towards Gaurikund, the base camp for the Kedarnath trek, located approximately 30 kilometres from Guptkashi. - Begin the trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath, a distance of about 16 kilometres. The trek takes around 6-7 hours and offers stunning views of the Himalayan landscape. - Upon reaching Kedarnath, check into your accommodation and freshen up. - Visit the ancient Kedarnath temple, offer prayers, and soak in the spiritual ambience of this sacred shrine. - Spend the night in Kedarnath, experiencing the tranquillity and serenity of the Himalayas under the starlit sky.
- Wake up early to witness the mesmerizing morning aarti at the Kedarnath temple, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
- After breakfast, begin your descent from Kedarnath to Gaurikund.
- From Gaurikund, drive back to Guptkashi and check into your hotel.
- Spend the evening relaxing and reflecting on your spiritual journey amidst the picturesque surroundings of Guptkashi.
NOTE: If you are not able to make Kedarnath temple darshan on 2nd day, you can do this today early morning.
After breakfast, check-out from your hotel and proceed to Badrinath, which is around 215 km away from Guptkashi.
En route, stop at Joshimath and visit the Narasimha temple.
On arrival at Badrinath, check-in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.
Overnight stay in Badrinath.
Early morning, visit the Badrinath temple and take a dip in the Tapt Kund hot water spring.
After the temple visit, proceed to the Mana village, which is the last village before the Indo-China border.
Visit the Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and other attractions in Mana village.
In the evening, return to your hotel in Badrinath and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight stay in Badrinath.
After breakfast, check-out from your hotel and start the journey back to Haridwar.
En route, stop at Joshimath and visit the Shankaracharya Math.
Reach Haridwar in the evening and drop off at the railway station or airport for your onward journey.
