Nag Tibba means "Serpent's Peak", which is the highest peak in the Lesser Himalayas of the Garhwal region near Mussoorie. It also gives a name to the Lesser Himalayas Range, which is one of the three ranges of the Lesser Himalayas (Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal). It is one of the best weekend treks for beginners as well as experienced trekkers. At the top of the hill, a small temple of Nag Devta is enshrined. From here you can have a panoramic view of the entire Banderpunch ranges of the Great Indian Himalayas towards the Yamunotri side. Nag Tibba is one of the most suitable & easy treks for winter when most of the treks are closed due to heavy snow.

Located at the foothills of the Lower Himalayan ranges and at an elevation of 3022 m, this beautiful place is surrounded by peaks like Bandarpunch, Srikanth, Swargarohini, Kedarnath Peak, and many more. This trail is also famous for its flora and fauna which include Rhododendrons, Oak, and Cedar trees, and is a treat for bird lovers as well. This place also offers majestic sunsets and sunrises. The trek is suitable for all kinds of trekkers as it has an easy trail and can be climbed by beginners as well.
Nagtibba hill Camping is a paradise for adventure-loving and has a picture-perfect camping area. Owing to its beautiful position amidst the surrounding mountains, the sunrise and sunset points from this location are astounding, and at this place, a photographer’s dream comes true! The serene atmosphere and the beauty of nature are bound to fill the visitor with joy.
Timing for Trek :The best time to trek the Nag Tibba is in the summer, from April to June, and in the winter, from October to December. For those travelers who would love to experience snowfall or snow trekking, the best months to trek would be January to March.

Today we will drive up to Panthwari village which is approx. 85kms from the city which will take us 4 hours. We will go via Mussoorie, Kempty falls, and Nainbagh. The road is smooth and the long drive with your favorite music is all we look forward to. We will leave early in the morning so that we could climb up to Khatian base camp which is 4.5 km from the village.
On reaching Panthwari, we would grab our lunch and immediately head towards Khatian Base camp. The route till here would be well constructed and easy to walk. Crossing through forests and wild we will reach our first base camp by the evening.
After breakfast, we will leave for Naag Tibba top.
It is an easy yet a little steep climb to the summit approx. 4kms. On reaching the top you would see snow-covered mountains from all over and have a majestic sunset view in the evening. We will camp here today and also have enough time to organize activities, play games, cook, set up our camps, and still be left with time to enjoy the silence of the hills.
Wake up early to see a beautiful sunrise and breathe in the fresh air. Pack your stuff and start descending towards Panthwari. After a downhill hike of 8 km, we can have our brunch here and leave for Dehradun.
