Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Rishikesh → Joshimath
Meet at Natraj Chowk, Rishikesh. From here, we begin our scenic drive towards Joshimath. En route, enjoy a delicious lunch arranged by our team. We will reach Joshimath by 4–5 pm, where comfortable rooms will be allotted for your stay. Take some rest, and later enjoy a hearty dinner provided by our team.
Day 2: Joshimath → Karchi (Drive) → Trek to Khulara via Guling & Akhorgetha
After an early breakfast, we drive from Joshimath to Karchi, the starting point of our trek. From here, we begin our trek towards Khulara through the beautiful forests of Guling and Akhorgetha. The trail is filled with oak and rhododendron trees, offering refreshing views and fresh mountain air. By afternoon, we reach Khulara campsite, where you can relax and enjoy a delicious lunch arranged by our team. At night, a hot dinner will be served under the starry Himalayan sky.”
Day 3: Acclimatization & Short Hike Around Khulara
After breakfast, today we take a short acclimatization hike around the Khulara meadows. This easy walk helps your body adjust to the high altitude while letting you soak in the serene beauty of the surrounding Himalayan ranges. The trail offers clear views of Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, and Hathi Ghoda, perfect for photography and relaxation. Return to the campsite by afternoon for a freshly served lunch. The rest of the day is free to rest, enjoy tea with snacks, and prepare for the upcoming summit push. In the evening, gather around for an early dinner under the calm Himalayan night sky.
Day 4: Summit Day – Khulara (Base Camp) → Pangarchulla Peak → Return to Khulara
Today is the most awaited and challenging day of the trek — the Pangarchulla Peak summit. After an early breakfast, we start our climb while it’s still cold and calm. The trail gradually turns steeper as we cross rocky ridges, boulder zones, and snow patches, testing our stamina and determination. With every step, the Himalayan panorama grows wider and more spectacular. Finally, at 4,590 m, we stand atop Pangarchulla Peak, rewarded with breathtaking 360° views of Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Kamet, Trishul, and Hathi Ghoda. Spend some time capturing these unforgettable moments before we begin our descent back to Khulara. On arrival, enjoy warm tea with snacks, followed by a hearty dinner as we celebrate the summit achievement under the starry sky.
Day 5: Khulara → Karchi (Trek) → Drive to Joshimath
After breakfast, we bid farewell to the beautiful Khulara meadows and begin our descent towards Karchi. The trail passes through dense oak and rhododendron forests, offering refreshing views and a peaceful walk down the mountains. En route, enjoy a packed lunch provided by our team. By afternoon, we reach Karchi, where vehicles will be waiting to drive us back to Joshimath. On arrival, check into your hotel, relax after the long trek, and later enjoy a delicious dinner served by our team.
Day 6: Joshimath → Rishikesh (Drive)
After an early breakfast, we start our return journey from Joshimath towards Rishikesh. The drive takes us along the scenic Alaknanda River, passing through mountain valleys and confluences at Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag, and Devprayag. En route, enjoy the Happy Meal provided by our Firstrek team to keep the journey cheerful and refreshing. By evening, we reach Rishikesh, carrying back memories of a successful Pangarchula adventure.
