Overview
Nag Tibba, also known as the “Serpent’s Peak,” is the highest summit in the Nag Tibba range of the lower Himalayas, located near Mussoorie in Uttarakhand. At an altitude of 9,915 ft (3,022 m), this trek is perfect for weekend adventure seekers, especially beginners looking for a short but rewarding Himalayan experience.
The trail begins from Pantwari village, passing through rustic hamlets, dense oak and rhododendron forests, and scenic meadows. During winters, the trail is often covered in a blanket of snow, making it one of the best short snow treks near Delhi-NCR.
The highlight of the trek is the Nag Tibba Summit, which offers breathtaking 180° views of majestic Himalayan peaks such as Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Kedarnath, and Gangotri. The trek also has a peaceful and less-crowded route, making it perfect for solitude in the mountains.
Whether you’re looking for a quick escape from city life or planning your first Himalayan trek, Nag Tibba offers the ideal blend of beauty, thrill, and accessibility.
