FirstTrek was founded by Rahul Negi in 2020, born from a deep passion for the mountains and a vision to make Himalayan trekking accessible to every adventure enthusiast. The company was later incorporated as FirstTrek (OPC) Private Limited on July 17th, 2025.
FirstTrek is inspired by the idea of a "first trek." We believe that on every trail, each trekker experiences something for the first time—new heights, new confidence, a new story. Our responsibility is to make that first experience memorable, safe, and successful.
The company emerged in the post-COVID era when Rahul realized the profound importance of health, fitness, and the healing power of nature. His love for mountains and trekking, combined with the growing awareness of wellness, inspired him to create a platform that would connect people with the pristine beauty of the Himalayas.
What started as a simple website has now grown into India's leading Himalayan trekking company, specializing in trek leading, mountaineering expeditions, and other adventure activities across the entire Himalayan range.
We organize trekking and peak climbing expeditions in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Sikkim, covering over 100+ trekking routes.

Founder & CEO
Rahul Negi is a passionate mountaineer and trekking enthusiast who has completed more than 50+ treks across the Himalayas. His deep love for the mountains began with his first trek and has only grown stronger with each expedition.
As an experienced trekker, Rahul has discovered and pioneered numerous new trekking routes across the Himalayan region. His extensive knowledge of the terrain, weather patterns, and local communities makes him an invaluable guide for both beginners and experienced trekkers.
Rahul's vision for FirstTrek goes beyond just organizing treks. He believes in creating meaningful connections between people and nature, promoting sustainable tourism, and supporting local communities in the Himalayan region.

Trek Leaders
Qualified with Basic Mountaineering Course and Advanced Mountaineering Course. Each trek leader holds Wilderness First Aid Responder Certification.
Equipment
High-end and well-maintained sleeping, dining and toilet tents, climbing ropes, crampons, and other essential trekking equipment.
Emergency Equipment
Stretcher, oxygen cylinders, well-stocked First Aid kits, and High Altitude Chambers (GEMO Bag) for high altitude treks.
Food & Accommodation
Hygienic, energizing vegetarian food with occasional egg dishes. Comfortable accommodation in tents and lodges.
Transport
Safe and comfortable transport from pick-up point to base camp in MUV or smaller vehicles for optimal safety.
