Firstay #20987 - Tashi Dolma Homestay, Bari

We had a comfortable stay here , the place is clean and rooms were cozy. The staff and owner were also sweet. However , there were certain things that were really dissapointing and inappropriate. We were offered leftover food that was remaining after the previous guests left. We had leftover food for lunch and snacks. Also when we asked for certain dishes to be cooked they were very conveniently declined by thr owners. When we wanted to eat chicken for dinner we were asked to cook it on our own and they offered us the space, utensils and ingredients. There is no problem in that so we agreed for the same. But it the morning again we were given the leftover fried rice from the previous night that was remainining. Eating leftover food might cause health issues to a guest .This lack of consideration for the guests health and food choices is slightly inconvenient. In addition to this, as the homestay is up hill and there is no space to park your cars you will have to carry your luggage on your own as there is no such arrangement for the same. Also, electricity and water facility might not be available all the time. As mentioned by the owner, we had stored water beforehand. But, in the morning our Driver noticed that owner had turned on the main switch (meter)for electricity. Which was probably switched off all night. I do not take this statement given by our driver to be completely true as we werent there to witness it. This was my overall experience in the homestay . It was good on certain aspects and not so acceptable on another. This was my honest review about this homestay, if you are looking to stay here, kindly take the decision keeping in mind about all the above factors and plan accordingly as per your comfort and convenience.
