Bhavishya Badri: One of the Panch Badri in Uttarakhand

Bhavishya Badri is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site located in the Chamoli district of the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is one of the five Badri temples and is situated at an altitude of approximately 2,744 meters (9,003 feet) above sea level. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, who is worshipped here in the form of Narsingh Bhagwan, the half-man and half-lion incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

According to Hindu mythology, Bhavishya Badri is believed to be the place where Lord Vishnu will be worshipped in the future, during the Kali Yuga, which is the current era in Hindu cosmology. It is said that in this era, all the other Badri temples will be inaccessible, and Bhavishya Badri will become the main center of worship for Lord Vishnu. The temple is situated in the midst of beautiful natural surroundings, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and dense forests. The trek to Bhavishya Badri is considered to be challenging and requires a certain level of physical fitness. The trek starts from the village of Joshimath and passes through scenic routes, including forests, meadows, and rocky terrain.

The temple itself is a small stone structure, with a sanctum sanctorum that houses the idol of Lord Narsingh Bhagwan. The idol is carved out of black stone and is believed to be self-manifested. The temple also has a small prayer hall where devotees can offer prayers and seek blessings. The temple is managed by the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, which also manages the other Badri temples.
