  • Day 1- Drive Dehradun → Sankri Camp side

    Altitude: 6,400ft
    198 kilometers drive from Dehradun to Sankri village approximately 5 hours.
    Sankari is basically a small hill town. Sankri has no ATMs and no proper mobile network. The BSNL network is quite erratic and more often than not unavailable. There are local shops and a small market selling mostly daily goods. However, watching the scenic beauty of the setting sun on the high mountain of the Himalayas from Sankri is a fabulous sight.

  • Day 2- Trek Sankri Base camp → Juda Ka Talab

    Altitude 6,400ft to 9,000ft
    4Kms trek. it takes approximately 5 hours
    The trail passes through dense pine forests, maple trees, few streams, and finally, opens out to beautiful meadows. Stay will be in tents. The days hike will be a moderate one with gradual and steep ascents leading up till Juda Ka Talab. You can find dabbas on the trail where you can take a break for tea or an omelet. There are also clearings where one can indulge in photography, take a breather, and hydrate.

  • Day 3- Trek Juda Ka Talab → Kedar-kantha Base Camp

    Altitude: 9,100ft to 11,250ft
    3Kms trek takes approximatey 2.5 hours
    Most of today’s trail is on the ridge, under oak trees. You will pass through some meadows where you can spot some Shephard log huts. Stay will be in tents. Today’s day is a shorter day but one will be ascending continuously till Kedarkantha base camp as we have 2000ft of altitude gain. The day will give you a good amount of rest and a chance for your body to acclimatize to the conditions and altitude and stay ready for the summit day push.

  • Day 4- Kedarkantha Base Camp → Kedarkantha Summit → Hargaon

    The Summit day
    Altitude: 11,250ft to 8,900ft (Hargaon) via 12,500ft (Kedra-Kantha Summit)
    6 Kms trek takes approximately 7 hours
    It’s the longest day of the trek and the summit day. One will be starting very early in the wee hours of the morning before sunrise so that we can reach the top on time to witness the sunrise. The ascend will be a combination of gradual and steep terrain to the top. Once we reach the top we can spend some time depending on the weather condition. During winter one can enjoy multiple slides during the descent from the top. We descend to the Hargaon campsite where we will stay in tents for the night.

  • Day 5- Hargaon → Sankari to Departure Dehradun

    Altitude :- 8,900ft to 6,400ft
    5 Km trek takes approximately 4 hours
    After the wholesome adventure, we descend back to Sankri.
    With all of the memories, say goodbye to sankari. after traveling 5 or 6 hours journey, you will reach Dehradun/Rishikesh.
