The trek route passes through dense forests, small villages, and meadows before reaching the beautiful Prashar Lake, which is situated at an altitude of 8,900 feet above sea level.
From Kantlu and follows a well-marked trail that passes through dense forests of oak, rhododendron, and pine trees. The trail is quite steep in some places and requires a moderate level of fitness. After walking for around 7.5 kilometres, trekkers will reach a small village called Parashar.
From Parashar, the trail becomes easier and follows a gradual ascent to the lake. Trekkers will pass through several small streams and meadows before finally reaching the beautiful Prashar Lake. The lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Once at the lake, trekkers can camp overnight in tents or stay in the local guesthouses. There is a small temple dedicated to the sage Prashar, after whom the lake is named, located on the shores of the lake.

Day 1- Arrive in Mandi and Drive to Kantlu and trek to Prashar Lake
Arrive in Mandi and meet our guide at the designated spot. Drive to Kantlu, the starting point of the Prashar Lake Trek. (118 kilometres) Begin the trek and pass through the lush green forests of oak, pine, and deodar. Cross the streams and wooden bridges. Reach the campsite at the base of Prashar Lake, set up tents, and enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains. Have a hot dinner and stay overnight in tents.

Day 2- Explore Prashar Lake & Temple and back to Mandi
Wake up early and have breakfast. Begin the ascent towards Prashar Lake (7.5 kilometres), a beautiful natural lake nestled amidst the Himalayan peaks. Admire the stunning views of the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges. Visit the ancient Prashar Temple and learn about its history and significance.
