Deoriatal Trek is one of the most beautiful and challenging treks in the Indian Himalayas. Located in the state of Uttarakhand, this trek takes you through lush green forests, rugged terrain, and breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks.
The trek starts from Sari village, which is located about 8 km from the town of Ukhimath. From here, the trail winds its way through dense forests, past waterfalls, and across streams. The first stop on the trek is the picturesque Deoriatal trek, a high-altitude lake surrounded by lush greenery and snow-capped peaks. The lake is a popular spot for camping and is also home to a variety of wildlife including leopards, bears, and wild boars.
As you continue on the trek, the trail becomes more rugged and challenging. You will need to cross rocky outcrops, steep ascents, and deep valleys. But the effort is worth it as the views of the surrounding peaks are truly breathtaking. Some of the peaks you will see include Chaukhamba, Kedar dome, and Mandani.
After reaching the summit, the trail descends through the thick forest, passing through small villages and crossing traditional suspension bridges. The final destination of the trek is the village of Deoria, where you can rest and enjoy a hot meal before returning to the Sari village.
Deoriatal Trek is not for the faint-hearted and requires a good level of fitness and experience. However, the beautiful scenery, challenging terrain, and the sense of accomplishment upon completion make it a must-do trek for any adventure seeker.
