The Pangarchulla Peak trek is a challenging trek in the Indian Himalayas that takes you to the summit of Pangarchulla peak (4300m) and through the Kuari Pass (3680m). The trek is located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, and offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including peaks such as Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, and Trishul.
The trek starts in the village of Auli and goes through beautiful oak and rhododendron forests, passing traditional villages along the way. As you gain altitude, the landscape changes to alpine meadows and snowy peaks. The trek then leads to the base of the Pangarchulla Peak, from where the final ascent to the summit begins.
The Kuari Pass is a high-altitude pass that is traversed during this trek, offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Trekkers should be physically fit and have some prior experience with high-altitude trekking as the Pangarchulla Peak trek is considered moderate to difficult.
The best time for the trek is from the end of September to the end of December, and from end of march to end of june. During these times the trail is covered with less snow, providing safer and more comfortable trekking conditions. The trek can be done with the assistance of a guide and Porter and have good facilities of camping available during the trek.
