The Pangarchulla Peak Trek starts in the charming village of Joshimath, located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. From here, you'll drive to the village of Dhak, where the trek begins. The first day of the trek involves a steep ascent through dense forests of oak, pine, and rhododendron trees, with the occasional stream to cross. The trail opens up to a meadow known as Khullara, where you'll set up camp for the night.
The second day of the trek is where the real adventure begins. You'll start early in the morning and hike to the summit of the 4,200-meter-high Kuari Pass, which offers stunning views of some of the tallest peaks in the region, including Nanda Devi, Kamet, Dronagiri, and Hathi Parbat. From here, you'll descend to the campsite at Khullara, where you'll spend another night.
On the third day, you'll continue your ascent toward the summit of Pangarchulla Peak. The trail becomes steeper and more challenging, with sections of scree and loose rocks. However, the effort is well worth it, as the views from the summit are truly spectacular. On a clear day, you can see as far as Mount Everest in the distance.
After spending some time at the summit, taking in the views, and capturing the moment, you'll begin your descent back to Khullara. The fourth day of the trek involves a leisurely descent through the forest to the village of Auli, where you'll be treated to magnificent views of the Nanda Devi Mountain range.

The best time to do the Pangarchulla trek in Uttarakhand is during the months of April to June and September to November. During these months, the weather is pleasant, and the skies are generally clear, offering excellent views of the surrounding mountains.
It is essential to avoid the monsoon season, which starts in July and lasts till August, as the region receives heavy rainfall, making the trails slippery and dangerous for trekking. Additionally, during winters, the region is covered in snow, and the trek is closed due to the harsh weather conditions.

Arrival at Dehradun Railway Station/Airport. Our Travel Partner will pick you and Drive to Joshimath. It is around 250 Kms on NH7. In the way you will see Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Dhari Devi Temple, Karanprayag, Nandaprayag and Chamoli town. You will reach Joshimath early in the evening. Check in to a guesthouse/homestay/hotel. Rest Here, your trakking journey will start from next day.
Start your trek from Dhak village, which is a short drive from Joshimath. The trail winds through beautiful forests of oak and rhododendron, and you'll get stunning views of Dronagiri and other peaks.
The trail gradually climbs up to Khullara, which is a scenic camping spot with views of the surrounding peaks. Set up camp at Khullara and spend the night.
Today, we will trek Kullara to Pangarchulla base camp. The trail from Khullara to Pangarchulla Base Camp is steep and challenging, but the views are absolutely worth it. You'll be able to see Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, and other peaks from the campsite.
Reach the base camp (approximately 13,780 feet or 4,200 meters), which is your launching point for the summit. Set up camp and rest to prepare for the summit push. Overnight stay in tents.
Today is the challenging day of this trek. Wake up very early (around 4-5 AM) and have a quick breakfast.
Start the challenging ascent to Pangarchulla Peak. Trek through snowfields, steep slopes, and rocky terrain, often requiring the use of crampons and ice axes.
Reach the summit (approximately 14,700 feet) and savor panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
Descend to the base camp after spending some time at the summit. Overnight stay in tents at the base camp.
Descend from the base camp to Dhak Village, retracing your steps.
Enjoy a well-deserved rest at Dhak Village.
Drive back to Joshimath. Celebrate your successful trek and overnight stay in Joshimath.
After breakfast, check out from your accommodation in Joshimath.
Depart for your onward journey or return to your home destination.
